Trans and Gender Diverse Shorts

Centering the experiences of trans and gender diverse people, this package explores the ways people express their gender identity in everyday life.

Sapphic Shorts

Featuring Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us), this diverse collection of shorts highlights stories about women and the people who love them, regardless of label or identity.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you may even swoon while watching these six very different films about men who love men.

About Queer Screen

For ten years, Queer Screen’s documentary festival, queerDOC, was the first and only LGBTIQ documentary festival in the world. The annual My Queer Career competition pioneered queer short film competitions exclusively for locally produced work. Both events are now part of the Mardi Gras Film Festival. In recent years, new initiatives have grown to include special events and curated programs right across Australia, and with strong links across the world. Queer Screen is now one of only LGBTIQ film organisations in the world to operate a continual and national program of events throughout the year.

Yes, you can! Just make sure you add all of your tickets at checkout.

Will there be subtitles?

Yes, all movies will include subtitles

Does it cost to attend?

No, though drinks and snacks will be available to purchase. Under licensing we cannot have snacks brought in from outside the venue, so please plan accordingly.
