Event description

Lampshades are a fabulous way of instantly adding character and ambience to any space.

In this workshop with the lampshade genie, Kate Malfroy from The Upholstery Workshop, you'll learn how to make a lampshade from scratch, using modern materials and professional tips and tricks to produce a drum shade (30cm diameter by 23cm height) that will have you glowing with pleasure!

This workshop is ideal for 16+ years. No experience is necessary. All materials and tools will be provided.

    Kate Malfroy is an experienced shade-maker with a passion for beautiful fabrics and rescuing old lampshades and furniture from landfill. She has run The Upholstery Workroom in her home studio in Jamberoo NSW for many years and loves nothing more than sharing her skills with keen learners.
