Description

We get it: talking about sex out loud, in a room, with other women you don't know, can feel weird. Awkward. Maybe even mortifying.

But what if it could also feel liberating? Like you're not the only one with questions about what's normal, what's good enough, or what might be missing.

What if the only thing standing between you and the best sex of your life is a willingness to feel the fear and get curious anyway?

This one-day workshop for women 35+ only is an opportunity to explore one of the most important parts of our lives: intimacy.

We've been told for far too long that great sex involves having a perfect body, making him happy, and swinging from the chandeliers.

But what if it's about something else entirely: Tuning into that quiet voice inside that's certain about what it wants and feels excited by - but has been unable to express itself?

Maybe you want to feel more juicy, alive, and energized with your partner. Maybe you're struggling to know what's expected in the dating scene. Maybe you're changing inside and out and want to explore what's possible. Maybe you're not even sure you want to ever have sex again.

Wherever you are on your life journey with sex, you are welcome.

This isn't a workshop where you'll be put on the spot. Everything is optional: you choose what or if to share. Some parts are quiet reflection while others are small-group discussion. Nobody gets called on.

If a topic hits too close to home and you need to step out, there's a room devoted for quiet retreat for as long as you need. Come back whenever you're ready, or don't. That's fine, too.

We'll talk about

  • What does good sex actually mean to me?

  • What do I want—and how do I know that's what I want?

  • How does desire really work, especially as I move through midlife?

  • What do I enjoy, what don't I enjoy, and what might I be curious about?

  • How can I communicate what I want to a partner?

  • How can I set boundaries while staying connected?

Co-facilitators Amy Waterman and Janel Atlas are both experienced love and relationship coaches and have created an inspiring and safe day for talking about these topics.

There will be opportunities to reflect, discuss, and learn from each other—with space to participate as much or as little as feels right for you.

Our aim is simple: to help you understand yourself a little better, discover what's possible, and feel more confident asking for—and getting—what you actually want.

Come with your questions, your curiosity, or simply the feeling that it's time to think about this part of yourself.

You might just discover that the best sex of your life is still ahead of you.

FAQs

  • I'm queer or polyamorous. Am I still welcome?

Yes! Women of all orientations and relationship configurations are welcome.

  • I'm a bit nervous/embarrassed about this. Is that a problem?

No, it's a common feeling! Most people find they relax once they realise that it's normal to feel a little self-conscious at first. But we'll set conditions for safety to opt in. You'll never be required to speak, share, or participate in anything that's too much. You can step out and decompress in a quiet room at any time.

  • I'm a trans woman; is this workshop for me?

We welcome all woman-identifying attendees aged 35 and up.

  • I'm single. Is this workshop suitable for someone not currently in a relationship?

Absolutely, the content and the activities of the day are applicable regardless of whether participants are currently partnered or not.

  • I'm in my 20s. Can I please attend?

We have designed this workshop specifically for women (cis and trans) who are 35+. While we believe that all people deserve to have great sex, the content we have prepared is geared particularly for women who are approaching or in mid-life.

  • I'm wondering if I can use this event to meet someone to date.

This is not a dating event.
