Event description

We understand that families, carers and health professionals need support of their own, including looking after your own mental health whilst being a support person for someone else.

This program, the latest mental health and wellbeing training program from Be Well Co, an entity of the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), is specifically designed for families, carers and health professionals, taking you through a 5-week program where you will build your own personal strategy to support you to Be Well

This program, delivered by two accredited Be Well trainers - one from SA Intellectual Disability Health Service (SAIDHS) and SA Council on Intellectual Disability (SACID), runs across 5-weeks and covers the following topics:

  • Building a wellbeing foundation
  • Using your wellbeing profile
  • Exploring your resources and challenges
  • Managing stress and building resilience
  • Living your Be Well Plan

These sessions will also take you through the Be Well Tracker to help you track key areas of your life such as wellbeing, resilience, anxiety and health, as well as provide you with access to the Be Well Plan app, downloadable on your own mobile phone.

Be Well Plan is delivered over 5 weekly sessions x 2 hours each week.
