Mechanical Ventilation

This two-day course is primarily designed for critical care clinicians looking to further develop their understanding and practical skills of Mechanical Ventilation in the acutely unwell patient.

The course builds on this foundational knowledge and provides hands‑on experience in managing ventilated ICU patients, interpreting respiratory waveforms, troubleshooting ventilator issues, and caring for patients with ARDS, Asthma, COPD, and acute hypoxic deterioration.

This course consists of clinically based lectures and 'hands-on' skill stations over two days.

Topics include:

• Respiratory monitoring/waveform analysis

• MV modes, settings and troubleshooting

• Common conditions requiring MV

• NIV

• Weaning from MV
