Event description

A 2 hour intensive hands on beekeeping experience with local beekeepers Amanda Collins and Scott Denno at one of their apiary sites near Talbot, Central Victoria. 

Designed to advance your beekeeping skills through practice in a migratory apiary setting.

Learn how to

  • Assess colony strength and health
  • Re-queen hives
  • Split and merge hives
  • Manage a defensive colony
  • Conduct drone uncapping and sugar shaking

Pre-requisites: Introduction to Beekeeping Course and have actively managed a beehive for a minimum of one season.
