What does conservation look like beyond restoring habitat? Join us together with Drew Kilner and Nature Play SA for an ecology walk exploring the plants, animals and ecological relationships that make Myponga Reservoir Reserve such an important place.

We’ll explore areas of remnant vegetation, looking for orchids, lilies and other plant life, and consider how these species are connected with the wider ecosystem. Along the way, we’ll discuss the aims of Reservoirs for Nature and how restoration can support biodiversity over time.

Drew Kilner, a Kaurna and Ngarrindjeri man, will share cultural knowledge and connections to Country as we explore the reserve and reflect on the importance of caring for these landscapes.

This walk will provide an opportunity to look closely at the ecological systems around us and consider the relationships between plants, animals and fungi.
