Wednesdays 7 pm
At the heart of the Tibetan Buddhist path lies one of its most profound and transformative teachings, that of learning to hold others' wellbeing as dearly as our own. This is the foundation for cultivating the altruistic motivation of a bodhisattva: one who aspires to full awakening in order to be of genuine benefit to all beings.
We will also explore the first four of the six classic qualities cultivated by a bodhisattva on the path to enlightenment: generosity, ethics, patience, and joyous effort. Far from being abstract ideals, these are living virtues that can quietly transform the way we show up in our relationships, our challenges, and our everyday moments.
The course includes guided meditations, clear explanations, and dedicated time for Q&A and discussion. Suitable for those with some meditation experience.e.
About the Series
The Stages of the Path to Enlightenment (Lamrim) is a time-honoured Tibetan Buddhist roadmap to awakening—one that guides you gently but systematically through each topic, helping you develop genuine personal insight and lasting spiritual understanding.
In this series, you will explore both stabilising and analytical meditation through a sequence of guided contemplations. Drawing on your natural capacity to recall past experiences, imagine new possibilities, reflect on logical reasoning, and examine deeply held beliefs, you will find these teachings coming alive within your own experience.
