Beyond the Classroom: Expanding Education Options for NC Kids
Event description
Can North Carolina Meet the Rising Demand for Diverse Educational Options?
New surveys of micro and private school leaders reveal both urgent challenges and exciting opportunities for expanding North Carolina’s educational capacity. Our findings generate important recommendations and raise a critical question: How can educators and policymakers create a culture where educational entrepreneurs thrive—and every child has access to a school that fits their needs and talents?
Join us at the Carolina Country Club from 5:30–7:30pm for an evening of insights and discussion on North Carolina’s education policy and school choice.
Enjoy a dinner reception (5:30–6:00 pm), followed by a presentation and panel discussion (6:00–7:30 p.m.) featuring:
Renee Griffith, EduBuilder
Dominque Burgess, Burbrella Learning Academy and Ed Fellow at the John Locke Foundation
Sherman Whites, The Drexel Fund, Durham
Dr. Kathryn Marker, Director of Scholarship Programs, NCSEAA
