BEYOND THE COMFORT ZONE: Restoring Lifelong Resilience

Risky Kids Clubs Australia presents a free event series on the nature of resilience, the role of risk and provides every day tools which families and educators can make use of to help guide young people. Expert speaker Richard Williams provides a comprehensive exploration of modern approaches to developing mental, physical, social and emotional wellbeing through the application of challenging, memorable and enriching experiences. This seminar series will help anyone who works with, or has, children and addresses topics such as:

  • How much is too much? Determining the balance of challenge and adversity.
  • Risky Kids. How risk taking is a positive, universal, accessible force for families and young people.
  • Giving up and never starting. Understanding avoidance and refusal behaviour,
  • Stages of Becoming. How the learning process is the key to resilience.
  • Modern problems. The nature of tech misuse and overuse,
  • Overly Sensitive, or A Hostile World? The origins of declining resilience and increasing fear,
  • And more.

Besides the information sessions, there's an opportunity for Q & A time with Richard, as well as dedicated break out time to promote intentional community behaviour. Get to know your neighbours and share your concerns, successes and triumphs.

This is a free event, however places are limited. There will be two dates provided for convenience. First in best dressed!
