Join Melville Rotary at South of Perth Yacht Club for a special evening with Australian Olympic sailor Conor Nicholas.
A proud Whadjuk man and Perth sailor, Conor began sailing at just five years old at South of Perth Yacht Club. From the Swan River he progressed through international sailing to represent Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, finishing ninth overall with Nia Jerwood in the Mixed 470.
More than an Olympic result
Conor’s journey has included Australian and world youth titles, an F18 World Championship and years of international competition.
He will speak about:
pursuing an Olympic dream
setbacks and pressure behind the scenes
resilience and sacrifice
competing at the highest level
life and leadership beyond the Games
Today, Conor is also involved in the governance of Australian Olympic sport, bringing an athlete’s perspective to the next generation.
