This online event is an interactive professional development workshop for classroom music educators all around Australia, illustrating how to incorporate Australian music in classroom music teaching plans.

We will introduce and demonstrate teaching activities from the Australian Music Centre's music education resource:

Beyond the Screen: New Australian Film Music Resources for the Classroom

Completing Beyond the Screen: New Australian Film Music Resources for the Classroom will contribute 1 hour and 30 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF addressing Standard Descriptor 2.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Participants may supply their NESA or teaching number upon registration (optional).

This workshop will be facilitated by Dr Joanna Drimatis, Music Education Specialist at the Australian Music Centre, with composer guests Burkhard Dallwitz and Caitlin Yeo.
