The Beyond This World Ball is brought to you by Inkwell Events, coming to Canberra for the very first time in March, 2027!
For lovers of all things fantasy, romantasy and magic, we cordially invite you to join us for a night of wonder, as we celebrate the other worlds we love, including Prythian, Elfhame, Navarre, Erilea, Norta, and so many more.
This event is a chance to experience the wonder of the realms we dream of, to wear something you never normally get to wear, and to meet other book lovers!
Arrival begins at 5:30pm. The main event begins at 6pm, with traditional ball music to start, then moving into a party as the night wears on!
Included with your ticket:
- three course meal
- unlimited drinks all night long! (subject to Terms and Conditions)
- access to our Book Fair with local businesses and authors!
- a free gift bag! (for "gift bag included" ticket holders)*
This Ball's theme is "The Courts", inspired by our location and the High Courts of the ACOTAR universe. Dress in theme with your favourite court, favourite high lord/lady, or any royal court attire!
Please note, this event is 18+ due to alcohol being served.

Note: As this event includes a seated meal, guests will have the chance to choose their seating location. Please note that the layout on the map shown may change (e.g. tables may move location). Please prioritise table numbers (e.g. choosing the same table number as a friend)
*should you choose a gift bag included ticket, your gift bag will contain similar items to the gift bags given at our Hunter Valley Ball
FAQs
- Is there an age limit for the Ball?
Yes, all guests must be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of the Ball. Guests will be asked to show ID as they enter the venue.
- Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Our venue is definitely wheelchair accessible. If you have any concerns, please reach out to our team!
- When should guests arrive?
Guests may begin arriving from 5:30pm. Time will be allowed for all guests to have their tickets scanned to enter the venue, before the Ball officially begins at 6pm
- Why is there a booking fee?
Inkwell Events has strived to minimise the cost of tickets for our guests. We have chosen to use Humanitix as our ticket provider, because their fees go directly to support charity!
- Are there restrictions on attire?
Yes. No real weapons will be permitted in or around the venue. Fake weapons may be allowed, subject to the discretion of security and event staff, under our Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, please consider other guests when choosing your outfit. As much as we love a diva moment with a massive train, that could make it difficult for other guests to enjoy their night! - Will you be catering for dietary requirements?
We will do our very best to cater for all dietary requirements. There is a question at ticket checkout asking for your dietary needs, and a member of our team will reach out if there are any issues.
- Is free parking available on site?
Yes, free parking will be available at the venue, subject to availability.
- What is included in the ticket price?

- Are companion card tickets available?
Yes! Please reach out to our friendly staff via our website to organise a discounted ticket for your carer.
- What do we need to bring on the night?
The main thing guests need to have is ID to show security as you enter the venue. Other than that, bring your fae ears and dancing shoes!
- What are the differences between this Ball and your Hunter Valley Ball?
The key changes for this Ball are:
- drinks will be available for the entire night
- guests receive a full three course meal
- added "gift bag not included" ticket option
- at this stage, Swordcraft will NOT be in attendance
- Is the theme/dress code mandatory?
Our theme/dress code is completely optional!
- Why are drinks limited to beer, wine and non-alcoholic options?
Unfortunately most beverage packages have limited options, depending on what the venue offers. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.
