The Beyond This World Ball is brought to you by Inkwell Events, coming to the Hunter Valley for the very first time in October, 2026!
For lovers of all things fantasy, romantasy and magic, we cordially invite you to join us for a night of wonder, as we celebrate the other worlds we love, including Prythian, Elfhame, Navarre, Erilea, Norta, and so many more.
This event is a chance to experience the wonder of the realms we dream of, to wear something you never normally get to wear, and to meet other book lovers!
Arrival begins at 5pm. Half an hour will be allowed for our guests to make their way into the venue, have tickets scanned, and take photos on the red carpet! The main event begins at 5:30, with traditional ball music to start, then moving into a party as the night wears on!
Included with your ticket:
- unlimited drinks (beer, wine and non-alcoholic options only)
- food platters, with sandwiches, wraps, charcuterie, cheese, fresh fruit, sushi, fried favourites, mini pies and sausage rolls, and desserts

Please note, this event is 18+ due to alcohol being served.
Outfits can include full ballgowns, elements of armour, cosplay, etc. We ask you to use your imagination to its full capacity!

- Is there an age limit for the Ball?
Yes, all guests must be 18 years of age at the time of the Ball. Guests will be asked to show ID as they enter the venue.
- Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Our venue is definitely wheelchair accessible. If you have any concerns, please reach out to our team!
- When should guests arrive?
Guests may begin arriving from 5pm. Time will be allowed for all guests to have their tickets scanned to enter the venue, before the Ball officially begins at 5:30pm
- Will there be other drink options available?
Yes! Guests can purchase any other drinks they would like from the bar.
- Why is there a booking fee?
Inkwell Events has strived to minimise the cost of tickets for our guests. We have chosen to use Humanitix as our ticket provider, because their fee goes directly to support charity!
- Will there be a quiet space separate to the main Ball?
Yes! We have ensured that guests will have access to the connected Merlot Terrace for some fresh air if needed. We can also arrange access to other spaces if any guest feels overstimulated at any point.
- Are there restrictions on attire?
Yes. No real weapons will be permitted in or around the venue. Fake weapons may be allowed, subject to the discretion of security and event staff, under our Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, please consider other guests when choosing your outfit. As much as we love a diva moment with a massive train, that could make it difficult for other guests to enjoy their night. - Will you be catering for dietary requirements?
We will do our very best to cater for all dietary requirements. There is a question at ticket checkout asking for your dietary needs, and we will reach out to you if there are any issues.
- Is free parking available on site?
Yes, free parking will be available at the venue. Our staff will direct guests to a designated parking area.

- Are companion card tickets available?
Yes! Please reach out to our friendly staff via our website to organise a discounted ticket for your carer.
- What do we need to bring on the night?
The main thing guests need to have is ID to show security as you enter the venue. Other than that, bring your fae ears and dancing shoes!
- How many sword fighting workshops will be available?
As many as possible within the time available, but we want to make sure participants get a proper turn!
