Description

Sessions will run fortnightly on Thursday over July, August and September, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM, participants will take part in a series of fun sessions, including:

Basketball at the skate park (Thursday 30th July)
we're going to be going down to the skate park to plat some basketball and have some snacks.
CATAN (Thursday 13th August)
Come play this fun as board game
Fishing lessons knot tying and lure set up best rods to use where and beach fishing tips (Thursday 27th August)
learn how to set up your rod for certain types of fishing and difference.
Chess competition (Thursday 3 September)
Have a great time learning about the great game chess maybe win a hat.
Pc/Xbox/Ps5 cleaning maintenance (Thursday 17th September)
come learn out to properly clean and maintain your gaming devices.

Feel free to register! Bring your friends or come on your own everyone ages 12 to 25 is welcome

This program runs run fortnightly over 5 Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30 PM, Registering to this will register you to all the boys' forward programs.

Blackwood Youth Action (BYA) was established in 2013 by a committed group of community members concerned about the wellbeing of young people in the Blackwood region, particularly those who are marginalised or at risk. The group was formally incorporated in 2015, and since then has worked closely with young people aged 12–25, local service providers in health, education and community services, and the wider community.

Through consultation and collaboration, BYA identified key gaps and opportunities to improve the health and wellbeing of young people in the region. Today, we continue this mission by providing events, programs, and workshops for young people aged 12–25, creating safe spaces for connection, growth, and learning.

Our Priorities

Provide opportunities for young people to reach their full potential through education, training, and community support.
Strengthen relationships, understanding, and shared experiences between young people and the communities in which they live.
Work with marginalised young people and local services to improve opportunities that meet their social, emotional, psychological, and physical needs.
Engage with and advocate for marginalised and at-risk youth in the Warren Blackwood.
