Bikepacking Gear Library Donation Drive
Description
After losing our beloved gear library to the Off Course fire earlier this year, we’re ready to RELAUNCH!
We’ve got a new location in Brunswick East (more details to come) and will be hosting a donation drive and a celebration of literally rising from the ashes.
We're keen to see you, whether it's to donate gear/cash, partake in the fundraising coffee and baked goods, do some sewing and repairs led by the wonderful Terra Rosa Gear, or just to come for the vibes. 💕
Please RSVP to help us plan the day.
ABOUT:
The donations:
Gear - Read our Gear Guide for information on types of gear you can donate.*
Cash - Donations can be made on our website, at checkout when you RSVP, or in person at the event. Funds raised will go towards operations, purchasing storage and repairing or replacing gear down the line. As we’re completely volunteer-run, any amount helps us keep the library going.
The sewing session:
Evan of Terra Rosa Gear is generously hosting a sewing session where you can:
Repair - Bring in outdoor fabric gear that needs repair (think bags or outdoor pants with holes and broken zips, etc). When they're good as new, you can then keep them or donate them to the Bikepacking Gear Library.
Create - Using recycled materials provided by Evan, sew simple items (roll tops, feed bags) that will then be donated to the Bikepacking Gear Library.
Materials and machines will be provided. Sewing experience not required. All free, but booking required.
Coffee and baked goods by donation:
Filter coffee from Home Economics Cafe
Homemade baked goods lovingly donated by our community
Keen to donate your baked goods too? Please send us an email at bikepackinggearlibrary@gmail.com.
Have more questions? Head to the FAQs on our website.
*Can't make it but want to donate gear? Please hang on to it for now! We will reassess collecting further donations after the event. Thank you! :)
