Event description

Want to know more about Bi+ people and NSW Anti-Discrimination legislation? Keen to contribute to positive change for Bi+ people across NSW? The NSW Law Reform Commission is undertaking a review into the Anti-Discrimination Act, and there's never been a better time to get involved in making NSW a more inclusive place for Bi+ people.

Join Sydney Bi+ Network and Sydney Bi+ Social Club in a NSW Anti-Discrimination Act workshop by and for Bi+ community.

Together we'll explore:

  • what current NSW Anti-Discrimination legislation includes

  • the practical impacts of Bi+ exclusion in current Anti-Discrimination legislation

  • the history of Bi+ advocacy and NSW Anti-Discrimination legislation

  • how you can take action to support the inclusion of Bi+ people in NSW Anti-Discrimination legislation

There will also be an opportunity for you to contribute your ideas to our submission to the law reform commission.

This workshop is free, however we ask that you register to help us plan for facilitators and catering.

Accessibility Information

The Inner West Pride Centre is located approximately 150m away from Newtown Station. The route from the station to the venue is mostly flat. You will have to cross the road (King Street) to get from Newtown Station to the Pride Centre. There is limited street parking in Newtown.
