About the Presenter
Cyril Yarran is a Noongar man with connections to the Whadjuk, Binjareb, Yued, and Balladong Regions in Boorloo (Perth). He has extensive experience as an Aboriginal Education Officer and has worked with children from early years through to secondary. Passionate about preserving Noongar culture, Cyril actively contributes to the transmission of this knowledge to future generations. His commitment to cultural education for the community is his vocation and passion.
Cyril's organisation, Milliyaan Aboriginal Services, is dedicated to preserving and promoting Noongar culture. They offer a variety of services including cultural consultancy, professional development, and educational programs that span from early childhood to high school levels. Additionally, Milliyaan Aboriginal Services conducts important cultural practices such as Smoking Ceremonies, playing a crucial role in cultural education and community engagement within the Noongar regions of Boorloo (Perth)
