Bicheno - Losing the Coasts We Love?

Public meeting on the Validation Bill and changes proposed to the State Coastal Policy.

The state government is attempting to fast-track a bill through parliament that would suspend the Coastal Policy for past proposals back to 2003(!) including the contested pilitika/Robbins Island wind farm, interrupting the Supreme Court appeal against it. What’s more, there will be further changes proposed to the Coastal Policy which will likely favour private developers over nature and the community.
