Biennial Oregon Watershed Council Gathering
Event description
The Network of Oregon Watershed Council is excited to host the 2025 Oregon Watershed Council Gathering May 6th through May 8th at St. Benedict Lodge, a 70-acre wooded property along the beautiful McKenzie River.
The format and intent of this small conference is similar to Watershed Management Camp, last held in 2019, with a focus on peer-supported learning and networking. Topics will range from current federal funding to leveraging technology for watershed management, from collaboration with tribal nations to wildfire response and recovery.
We are also very excited to welcome several invited speakers, including Dr Leslie King who will speak on environmental justice in river restoration, and Dr Dyana Mason, who will speak on board development and engagement.
On Thursday, May 8, we will wrap up our Gathering with a site tour and bag lunch to a local restoration project.
Registration cost includes lodging, all meals, and all sessions, including the project field tour.
