The Big Balloon Build is a magical immersive wonderland of balloons! It will be hosted by Balloon Art by Merry Makers and proceeds from this 4-day event will benefit Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy.
The Big Balloon Build is coming to Greeley. It will be only the 4th of its kind in the United States and will not return to Northern Colorado anytime soon, if ever.
75 Balloon artists from around the world will come to Greeley, donating their time and travel expenses. Using 125,000 balloons, they will build a one-of-a-kind, immersive, balloon art installation in the ballroom of the Aims Welcome Center in just 3 ½ days. The theme is space!
The purpose of the Big Balloon Build is to utilize the power of balloon decor to raise awareness and funds for a local charity.
Allison Dunning, with Balloon Art by Merry Markers, was selected to host the Big Balloon Build in Greeley and chose Life Stories, a charity that advocates for children who have been abused or neglected in Weld County, to be the charity to benefit from the event. Together, they are working with Stuart Davis, the Producer of the Big Balloon Build to host 5 days of events to raise funds for their programs and bring awareness to the issue of child abuse.

July 20 - 5:00 to 7:30pm
Weld County Multi-Chamber Event - enjoy appetizers, beer and wine, while you network with other businesses throughout Weld County. Entrance into the Big Balloon Build is included and a portion of your ticket price will be donated back to your chosen chamber.
July 21 - 6:00 to 10:00 pm (Show only 8 - 9:30 pm)
Gala-xy Experience - Our spotlight event features Aria & Anthem - The Physic Soulmates, who were on America’s Got Talent, and a one-of-a-kind Balloon Outfit fashion show. There are 3 tiers of prices - 1) show only 2) dinner and show 3) dinner, show & pre and post entertainment on the Welcome Center Terrace with a special performance by Aria & Anthem and live music by Gii Astorga. Tickets include admission into the Big Balloon Build on either Saturday or Sunday - you will choose a time when purchasing tickets.
July 22 - 7:30 to 8:45am & 9:15 to 10:30am
Intergalactic Breakfast - this family friendly event includes breakfast, a photo opportunity "Out of this World" Visitors and admission into the Big Balloon Build. 2 Sessions available.
July 22 - 12:00 to 4:00pm
STEAM Afternoon - participate in hands on STEAM activities from local businesses and non-profits, browse vendor booths and watch a special Weld County Talent Showcase. Admission is free. Big Balloon Build Admission can be purchased to tour during this time.
July 22 - 11:00 to 5:00pm
General Admission - Take a journey through outer space and other worlds as you tour the Big Balloon Build in the Welcome Center Ballroom. This immersive adventure will be “Out of this World”. Tickets must be purchased for a specific timeslot.
July 22 - 5:00 to 10:00pm
Rockin’ Eats and Beats - sponsored by Richmark. Feel the beat from 3 different bands while enjoying the eclectic flavors from a variety of food trucks. Tickets include admission into the Big Balloon Build but you must reserve your timeslot at purchase. Ticket do not include food. Featured bands - Wild Nights, Gii Astorga and the Ricardo Pena Band.
