Two amazing Christchurch Big Bands are presented to audiences at Fat Eddie's in this fantastic finale of the Jazz and Cabaret Festival 2023. Join us for three and a half hours of fantastic Big Band Jazz.
Christchurch Youth Jazz Orchestra
The Christchurch Youth Jazz Orchestra features selected jazz musicians from the high schools of Ōtautahi. Music Director Lana Law presents and directs these talented students. The selection of contemporary arrangements shows off the Orchestra and its ability to swing hard and lock in the grooves. Check out the future of Big Band Jazz in Christchurch - it's sounding great!
All Girl Big Band
The All Girl Big Band is a full big band made up of eighteen Christchurch women who have changed the face of the jazz scene in New Zealand. AGBB creates a powerhouse of sound that will blow you away! The band consists of an array of talented musicians whose infectious joy of music making is evident at all their live shows.
This event is presented by Katie Jane Events and Fat Eddie's as part of the Jazz & Cabaret Festival 2023. Get your ticket now as this Big Band event will sell out! Reserved seating tickets ($25) will get you a seat at a table on the main floor - in front of the stage where the action is. General Admission tickets ($15) will get you a spot elsewhere in the venue, no guarantee of a table or a seat but a guarantee that you'll be able to hear the bands just fine.....
