Cindia Luz is a singer and a percussionist who has played with the Legendary Roots Crew, Tijuana Cartel, OKA, Declan Kelly and the Rising Sun, Matanza Latin Jazz, Master Epizou Bangoura, Sambole African Dance Troupe, Wahine Polynesian and many more. In Bahia, Brazil Cindia studied on the streets, played for local salsa bands and for the Pellourinho School of Dance. In Cuba, Cindia studied percussion with Pellito el Afrokaan (Cuba), in the U.S she studied with Eguie Castrillo (Berklee Percussion, Boston), and Papillon Alvarez (New York). She studied and played with Havana legends Lucumi, Maximino, Lazaro 'Fimba’ Moliner’, clapped clave and sang choro for countless ceremonies with Los Guiros de San Cristobal.
