Friday night improv just got better; it's now Big Dang Friday! Second Fridays of the month feature Stomping Ground's longest-running musical improv house team KEVIN! and unruly improv from house team Caught Up in the Hoo Ha.
Caught up in the Hoo Ha takes the audience on a wild, improvised ride bouncing back and forth as they unpeel characters and scenes like onions. Featuring: Ian Jungmann, Jaydon Graeme, Sara Jackson, Peter Van Nuys, Stephanie Bell, Carrie Sumner, Zachary Barrera, Bertha Munuku, and Nono Osuji. The team is coached by John Gerhardt.
Kevin! is Stomping Ground’s longest-running musical improv house team; they create characters and original songs on the spot that will have audience members singing and dancing along. Kevin! features Daniel Shimek, John Gerhardt, Lynsey Hale, Grant Hollowell, Patrick Murphy, and Kelsey Satalino, Accompaniment by Stomping Ground Musical Director Joshua Diamond and Direction by Greg Mihalik.
The May 10 Big Dang Friday show features Mic Droppings! Comedy worlds collide! Mic Droppings starts with one of DFW's funniest stand-ups. When the stand-up drops the mic, the Mic Droppings improv team picks it up and creates a series of fast-paced, improvised scenes inspired by their stories. Mic Droppings features Justin Wayne, Krystle Sevener, Melanie Robinson, Lynsey Hale, Alexander Joshi, Nan Kirkpatrick, Abigail Nevins, and Sara Jackson.
Rated M for Mature/18+. Ticket prices are $10 (plus fees) in advance and $14 at the door. Stomping Ground is BYOB. Alcoholic beverages are allowed for all attendees over 21 years old; patrons are asked to enjoy them responsibly.
