Big Screen Benefit: The Casual Enormity of Adam Palmer benefiting GARNA

Salida Arts & Culture presents the November Big Screen Benefit at the SteamPlant.

GARNA is excited to partner with the Adam Palmer Sustainability Fund for a special screening of The Casual Enormity of Adam Palmer, a Colorado-made documentary honoring the life and legacy of Adam Palmer — a mountain town sustainability leader, outdoor enthusiast, musician, family man, Eagle Town Council member, Holy Cross Energy board member, and former Eagle County Director of Sustainability.

GARNA connects people with nature through inclusive educational programs, community engagement, and effective stewardship initiatives. We serve diverse residents, visitors, youth, and families across the Upper Arkansas River Valley, promoting environmental awareness, responsibility, and sustainable practices. Through strong partnerships and an inclusive culture, we empower volunteers, staff, and community members to enhance public engagement, celebrate our heritage, and care for the natural environment.

Through stories from friends, colleagues, and fellow community leaders, the film examines how one person’s everyday actions can inspire lasting change.

Directed by Colorado filmmaker Todd Anders Johnson, the documentary highlights Adam’s belief that community, innovation, and deliberate action can create meaningful solutions to challenges ranging from clean energy and housing to transportation and environmental stewardship.

Founded in 2021, the Adam Palmer Sustainability Fund honors Adam’s legacy by supporting local projects and partnerships that advance net-zero goals and strengthen communities through sustainability.
