Big Sister Women in Sports: Pathways to the Trades

Women in Sports: Pathways to the Trades

Big Sister, together with Gaza Sports & Community Club, i‑Electrical and Communications, V2Grid, and Banton Australia, is proud to present a special Women in Sports community BBQ event celebrating opportunity, community, and career pathways.

Many male electricians begin their apprenticeship journey through connections made at their local sports club. We’re excited to extend these same opportunities to women athletes in Adelaide — and we invite local employers to be part of the conversation.

Join us for an evening of insights and connection. Hear from qualified electricians and elite athletes as they explore the shared strengths between sport and the trades. Enjoy a free BBQ dinner, meet our Big Sister industry‑qualified mentors from Electrical Trades Union, PEER and EGT/College of Electrical Training, and connect with employers who are championing women in the electrical industry.
