BikeWest Cycle to Sustainability Tour

This is the decade for action! And it’s as easy as riding a bike!

Come along on an active transport group ride visiting local environmental initiatives in the City of Maribyrnong.

This is an all ages and abilities / family friendly event! It is a casual ride with many stops! All are welcome!

Join BikeWest, Maribyrnong Councillors, and local champions for a tour of the municipality celebrating the Council’s big bike budget and the many other innovative climate and environment initiatives happening in the inner west.

A fun day out riding our bikes around Maribyrnong exploring some of the great local initiatives and talking about the importance of good active transport infrastructure to reduce emissions and support happier and healthier places and people.

The tour will circumnavigate the inner west, stopping at a few key local sustainability initiatives including:

• Exemplar nature strip gardens
• Local cycling skills (Hansen Res) and activity spaces (Quarry Park)
• Good and bad infrastructure 
• Other local environmental highlights - Footscray College Farm, the Vic Uni green roof, and the Community Bike Hub.

Start with breakfast and a coffee in Seddon prior to the event. Ride leaves at 10am from Vigo St Seddon.  

Finish with a drink and pizza in Footscray!
