Join this practical bike riding skills session for adults who can already balance and pedal their bikes but would like to refresh those skills and feel more confident.

Perhaps you've not ridden for a while, are returning from an injury, have a new bike, or you'd just like to feel more confident out and about on two wheels?

In a traffic free environment our friendly Instructors will take you through all the essential bike control skills including:

-smooth controlled starting and stopping,

-using gears,

-scanning and signalling,

-and skills for sharing spaces on shared paths.

-finding people to ride with

-finding safe routes to get around

With a break for lunch (BYO picnic lunch) in the middle of the day you'll have plenty of time to digest everything you've learned, and make some new friends.

This course is commissioned by City of Stonnington and delivered by the professionals from Bike it Better.

Who is this session suitable for?

Adults who can ride balance and pedal to ride a bike (even if a bit wobbly), without training wheels
Suitable for all types of human-powered bicycles, including folding bikes and electric bikes that are legal to use in Victoria. (We cannot accomodate converted electric bikes, e-bikes that don't comply with regulations nor electric motorcycles)
