Billabong Bioblitz: Nocturnal Wildlife Walk - 8:30pm to 9:15pm

Help us collect valuable data for the Great Southern BioBlitz 2026! As the sun sets, join our local expert and discover the hidden world of Boroondara’s nocturnal wildlife. Learn about the frogs, bats, birds and possums that come alive after dark, and develop your wildlife-spotting skills as you explore the Billabong by torchlight.

For the best experience, please:

-Dress for the outdoors with sturdy, enclosed shoes suitable for uneven ground, and be prepared for changing weather conditions.

-Don't forget to bring a torch for after-dark guided walks.

-Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

We encourage you to download the free iNaturalist app prior to the event to record your sightings and contribute data to this global citizen science challenge, but this is not essential. For more information on using the app see How to Make an Observation : iNaturalist Help
