Billie's Blistering Summer
Event description
The Carnage Garden’s brand new dark-comedy Billie’s Blistering Summer is coming to Club Voltaire this August…
17-year-old Billie is on the brink of inescapable change, she just doesn’t know it yet. After finding herself back in bed with her ex-situationship, Billie’s self worth is put to the ultimate test when she finds herself, mirror between legs, inspecting Herpes blisters. An original play written by Brisbane-born and raised Mary-Kate Albury, Billie’s Blistering Summer is an exploration of how we bear the weight of being, and who shares the burden to lighten the load. Told by a group of sometimes degenerate teens over a scorching Brisbane summer.
