Description

Discover the art of fibre craft with master craftsman Thulumaay (Andrew Oldfield).

Looking for a meaningful opportunity to learn about, connect with, and celebrate Aboriginal culture?

Join us for an immersive, hands-on workshop guided by Thulumaay (Andrew Oldfield), master craftsman. Through the ancient technique of binding and fibre craft (weaving), you will gain a deep appreciation for Aboriginal culture.

During this interactive session, you will learn one of many traditional Binding (weaving) methods using locally harvested rushes. You will also have the rare opportunity to examine authentic Aboriginal tools and handcrafted woven fish traps up close, gaining insight into the ingenuity and artistry of traditional craftsmanship.

Best of all, you will put your new skills into practice and craft your very own small carry bag from locally sourced materials to take home with you!
