Terra Preta movie screening & how to use Biochar in your Garden

This BBC documentary on Terra Preta explains how the ancient Amazonians created fertile soil out of terrible clay using organic “waste” and biochar (1 hr).  The second part (half hour)  is a presentation about how biochar can has been used in our clay soils to modify soil texture, fertility, infiltration rates to create deep topsoil quickly.  Where to get biochar, different types of biochar and different methods of application will also be discussed. Participants will also get a sample of biochar to take away.
