Take part in a Biodiversity Audit of Kariong Eco Garden and Nature Play area in bushland behind the garden.

What insects can we find? What can we find living in the ponds? Check out the existing nest boxes - is anybody home? How many different birds can we observe in 20 minutes (10.30am - 10.50am) BYO binoculars if you have them. Bring magnifying glasses if you have them. Bring your Bird and Plant ID books if you have them.

Find out about the Great Aussie Bird Count and the Seek by iNaturalist app. Bring a smart device if you have one.

These mega-diverse countries cover less than 10% of the world’s area but have more than 70% of its biodiversity.

Many of our plants, animals and places are unique and are not found anywhere else in the world.
