Event description

As part of WA Tree Festival, come and check out the Henderson Environment Centre and learn more about our unique natural environment! Join us for a day educational stalls, kids nature crafts, face painting, nature based giveaways, kids science activities and a series of educational walks through Star Swamp Reserve. 

Time: From 9:00am - 2:00pm

What's on:

  • Welcome to Country at 9:00am
  • All day educational stalls with Kings Park, SERCUL, SES and more...
  • Birds and reptiles - all day
  • DFES community engagement and fire truck 10:00am – 12:00pm
  • Nature crafts with the Eco Faeries - all day
  • Art Jam and Jodie Davidson Interactive art activities - all day
  • Local storytelling: Saving Star Swamp exhibition - all day
  • Kids science activities - all day
  • Nature based giveaways until stock runs out for City of Stirling residents - proof of address required.  
  • Coffee and drinks van, and sausage sizzle - all day
  • Kids native animal face-painting - all day
  • Guided bush walks, Including nature walks with Belinda Cox

Guided walk schedule added below: (all walks are approx. 1.5km and 1 hour long, bring closed in shoes, hat and weather appropriate gear)

    • 10.00am - 11.00am with Belinda Cox Bush Walk
    • 10.30am - 11.30am with City of Stirling Kids Bushwalk and Nature Passport
    • 11.30am - 12.30pm with Belinda Cox Bush Walk
    • 12.00pm - 1.00pm with City of Stirling Kids Bushwalk and Nature Passport

Parking: Parking will be limited, please walk, ride, carpool and catch public transport where possible.
