Co-hosted by Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3), Queensland University of Technology (QUT), and the Resources Centre of Excellence (RCOE), this free tour offers a unique insight into the region's advanced agriculture and biomanufacturing capabilities.
Tour Highlights:
- Mackay Pilot Plant & Mackay Sugar’s Racecourse Mill: Explore the newly commissioned QUT Mackay Pilot Plant and Mackay Sugar’s Racecourse Mill to learn about state-of-the-art precision fermentation and biorefining innovations.
- Resources Centre of Excellence: Enjoy a working lunch while touring the underground mine simulator and learning from industry leaders.
- Regional Showcase: Visit a number of locations, including North Queensland Bulk Ports Port of Mackay and other regional highlights, to see how Mackay connects industry, agriculture, and biomanufacturing.
