Location
The festival will take place at Frahns Farm, Monarto - the entrance will be the same as last year, at our Frahns Farm (Frahns Farm Rd Site - East) gate - please click here for directions through Google Maps, or scroll down further to view written instructions and a map.

Time from Adelaide
It takes approximately 1 hour from Adelaide CBD to get to Frahns Farm. If there is any wet weather around, please allow a little longer as you may need to take it slower through the hills on the South Eastern Freeway.

Schedule (June 25th)
9:30 AM – Arrival, briefing & first planting session
11:00 AM – Break for morning tea (participants to bring their own)
11:15 AM – Second planting session
12:15 PM – Tour (optional) or continue planting
1:00 PM – Finish

Schedule (July 16th)
9:30 AM – Arrival, briefing & first planting session
11:00 AM – Break for morning tea
11:15 AM – Second planting session
12:15 PM – Lunch
1:00 PM – Tour (optional), continue planting, or finish.

What to bring

Weather-appropriate clothing (sun, wind, rain)
Sturdy footwear (work boots, gumboots)
Gardening gloves & hand trowel/mattock
Water bottle
Plate, bowl, mug & cutlery
Chair or picnic rug
Personal medication (asthma puffer, EpiPen, pain relief)

Other useful items

Bucket (to carry tools & water bottle)
Kneeling pad/stool for comfort whilst planting
Waterproof bag (for dirty boots & wet gear)

Weather
If you wish to check the weather forecast, please use Monarto for a more accurate/relevant forecast. Typically, Monarto is a lot drier than Adelaide, so please don't let Adelaide weather put you off!

Catering (16 July only)
If you are attending on 16 July, our caterers will be providing a hot lunch, as well as hot drinks throughout the day. Please come prepared with your own plate, bowl, cutlery and cup. We'll provide the washing up station! Feel free to bring chairs, picnic rugs or something else to sit on.

Directions

If coming from Adelaide, take the South Eastern Freeway for 45 kilometres
Taking the Callington/Strathalbyn exit and turn right onto Callington Rd towards Callington
Continue on Callington Rd for 2 kilometres, passing through the town and across the train line before reaching Old Princes Hwy
Turn right onto Old Princes Hwy and continue for 3 kilometres - from this point, you will see signs with red arrows directing you to our event
Turn left onto Browns Rd (dirt road, avoid sharp left onto Highlands Rd)
Continue on Browns Rd for 3.3 kilometres and then turn left onto Frahns Farm Rd at the first intersection
Continue on Frahns Farm Rd for 300 metres and at the fork, stay to the right (keeping on Frahns Farm Rd, not Wattle Rd)
Continue for 1 kilometre and you will see the Bio·R flag - please enter the gate here and follow the signs.
