Location
This year, we will be meeting at a new site. For those who attended last year, it is located opposite last year's site, accessed via Frahns Farm Rd.

The name of this site is called Frahns Farm (Frahns Farm Rd Site - East) - click here for directions through Google Maps, or scroll down further to view written instructions and a map.

Time from Adelaide
It will take about 1 hour from Adelaide CBD to get to Frahns Farm. If there is any wet weather around, please allow for a bit longer due to going slower on the freeway.

Registration
Please make sure to sign in at our registration desk when you arrive and sign out when you leave. While you wait for the event to start, scan one of the QR codes located around the site to find out more about the event (or get a sneak peek here!).

Schedule

9:30am for 10:00am briefing before morning planting session
12:00pm onwards – Staggered lunch
1:00pm onwards – Staggered afternoon planting session
3:00pm – Afternoon tea
3:30pm – Tour (optional) or assisting with watering plants, sorting tubes or more planting

What to bring

Clothing suitable for variable weather conditions (consider sun, wind and rain)
Sunscreen and hat
Footwear suitable for wet, muddy conditions (work boots, gumboots etc.)
Gardening gloves for planting
Hand mattock/trowel
Water bottle
Cutlery/bowl/plate/mug
Chair or picnic rug

Other useful items

Bucket to carry water bottle and tools around the site
Stool/crate/kneeling pad for comfort whilst planting
Waterproof/plastic bag to put dirty boots and wet weather gear in at the end of the day

Catering
We have caterers organised to provide morning tea and lunch again this year, along with tea, coffee and water throughout the day. Please come prepared with your own plate, bowl, cutlery and cup. We'll provide the washing up station! Feel free to bring chairs, picnic rugs or something else to sit on.

Directions

If coming from Adelaide, take the South Eastern Freeway for 45 kilometres
Taking the Callington/Strathalbyn exit and turn right onto Callington Rd towards Callington
Continue on Callington Rd for 2 kilometres, passing through the town and across the train line before reaching Old Princes Hwy
Turn right onto Old Princes Hwy and continue for 3 kilometres
Turn left onto Browns Rd (dirt road, avoid sharp left onto Highlands Rd)
Continue on Browns Rd for 3.3 kilometres and then turn left onto Frahns Farm Rd at the first intersection
Continue on Frahns Farm Rd for 300 metres and at the fork, stay to the right (keeping on Frahns Farm Rd, not Wattle Rd)
Continue for 1 kilometre and you will see the Bio·R flag. There will be traffic marshalls directing you where to park.
If you are arriving after 10am, please enter through the gate and park near the other cars and continue walking (in a north-easterly direction) up the hill to the registration desk.

Can’t make it anymore?
We understand if something else comes up, but we ask you to please cancel your ticket(s) so that we can let our caterers know, and free up spaces for other people to attend. Find out how to access your order or request a refund, or email social@bior.org.au directly - we can change your booking to another day, if you'd prefer!

Refund policy
Refunds are available up to 3 days prior to the event.

We appreciate the Ngarrindjeri people’s innate and deep spiritual connection with the land and waters of this region and aspire to work alongside them in taking care of land and community.
