    Event description

The Esplanade Association, in partnership with Brookline Bird Club, will be leading a leisurely guided bird walk along the park – great for beginners and experts alike! We will walk around 1 mile, identifying birds and learning how to use binoculars and field guides. We will have limited binoculars to share – if you have any, please bring them along.

The Esplanade is home to a variety of species from songbirds to waterfowl. You can view the latest sightings on the Esplanade on eBird. No prior birding experience is necessary and everyone is welcome; jumpstart your day with some birding!

All Guided Bird Tours will meet outside Community Boating's main entrance. We will walk along the Charles River Esplanade from the Longfellow Bridge upriver looking for birds on both land and water. We hope to see a range of spring migrants as well as year-round natives and birds setting up their breeding territories.
