The Aussie Bird Count runs from 16 to 22 October and we're getting ready for this national citizen science event by honing our bird ID skills. We'll be doing some bird related activities and exploring this lovely reserve under the expert guidance of our friend Nicole, from Bendigo's Northern Landcare Group.

Things to keep in mind...

There are no toilets at the site. The closest public toilets are in Huntly town centre or at White Hills Botanic Gardens.

There is a creek running through the reserve so mosquito repellent would be a good idea. And, as usual, bring water, wear suitable shoes and leave your pets at home.

If you've never been to one of our gatherings before, they are for children with their responsible adult.
