Bird monitoring workshop

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

A vital part of conservation work is the ability to monitor and track progress and pick up on trends.  A key tool in the assessment of the effects of pest animal control and native habitat restoration is the way that birds respond.  Bird monitoring happens twice a year and is a quick process but to do it well takes skill.  Come along and find out more about how you can get involved.

The Herald Island Environmental Group will also be talking about the inspiring work they are doing and the amazing impact that is having on bird numbers.

Bring along your bird related questions as well for the Q & A session at the end.  We will also be heading into the adjoining Domain reserve for some practical tips if you want to join us.
