Birdboy

In a traditional Chinese family, Calvin, the youngest son, struggles to conceal his sexual identity, keeping it hidden from his family. Amid the neon-lit streets of Kuala Lumpur, a city teetering between Islamic tradition and the temptations of modern life, he meets Jerry, a Vietnamese massage boy working illegally. Both dream of a better future, but their aspirations remain fragile and out of reach as they wander through the city's shadows. Surrounded by the dazzling neon lights, minorities, the poor, undocumented immigrants, and sex workers all yearn for a future they can never quite grasp.
