Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature with a guided bird-watching walk led by John Gitsham, an expert birder, Birds SA Committee Member, and former NPWS Park Ranger. Explore the diverse avian life of Scott Creek Conservation Park and enhance your birding skills with personalised tips and techniques from an expert.

What to Expect:

  • Bird Identification: Discover the various bird species that inhabit Scott Creek Conservation Park, and learn about their behaviors, calls, and unique characteristics. Over 125 bird species have been observed in the park from small hon­eyeaters, to the large yel­low-tailed black cock­a­toos.
  • Expert Guidance: Benefit from John Gitsham's extensive knowledge and experience as he provides insights into effective bird-watching techniques and shares practical advice for spotting and identifying birds.
  • Scenic Exploration: Enjoy a leisurely walk through the park’s picturesque landscapes, with ample opportunities to observe and appreciate the natural environment and its feathered residents. Scott Creek Conservation Park is a sig­nif­i­cant con­ser­va­tion area and home to many threat­ened species of the Mount Lofty Ranges.

Accessibility

Guided walk will follow walking trails that have a slight incline. Trail surface is unsealed and uneven.
There are no toilet facilities in this park.
