You can't control how birth unfolds. But you can practise how you meet it.

Birthing with Sound is a 4-week birth preparation course for pregnant women and their birth partners - designed to help you feel more connected to your body, confident in your voice and supported by the person beside you as you prepare for labour and birth.

Knowing what to do and having actually practised it are two very different things.

Across four evenings, you'll explore breath, voice, rhythm and sound as practical tools for labour - discovering what helps you find focus, soften tension and stay connected to your body when intensity rises. And your birth partner practises alongside you, learning what helps you feel safe and supported and how to work with you when labour begins. There is no perfect technique to master. No right way to sound. And no particular kind of birth you're expected to achieve.

The aim isn't to control your birth. It's to help you feel prepared to meet it.

What we'll cover:

Week 1: Loving This Body - nervous system foundations, the fear-tension-pain cycle, connection to your body and practices to help the body soften

Week 2: Breath, Rhythm & Voice - breathing, humming and vocal toning alongside the resonance of the crystal singing bowl, becoming comfortable using your voice

Week 3: Working With Intensity - explore, rhythm, movement and sound using the drum as a powerful focus point while you and your partner practise ways to stay connected as intensity rises.

Week 4: You Are Ready - bringing it together into your personal toolkit for birth

Every session finishes with a relaxing live pregnancy sound bath using crystal singing bowls and other therapeutic sound instruments. Time to lie down, switch off and simply receive
