Thankyou for registering for the 2026 Bishop’s Training Event in HOBART!

It’s great that we will have around 400 Tasmanian Anglican adults, youth and children at this year’s event, which is being held in Hobart on 31 October and in Launceston on 24 October!

We have lots of space for everyone, so please invite others from your church to come with you!

Your workshop choices will be printed on your name badge on the day.

Program

8.45am – Arrive, register adults and children, browse resource fair and bookstall, have some morning tea

9:25am – Take a seat in the auditorium for the morning session.

Creche children will be checked into their program before 9.30am and picked up at 12:30pm.

Primary children will leave with leaders for their program about 15 minutes into the main morning session and returned to the auditorium at the end of the day at 3pm.

9.30-11am – Main Session with Mark Earngey talk

11-11:30am – Short break

11:30-12:30 – Workshops

12:30-1:30pm – Lunch

1:30-3pm – Final Session with Richard Condie talk

Parking

Please arrive early enough to find parking, go through our registration desk, and be seated by 9:25am. You can arrive any time after 8.45am, and have morning tea, check out lots of resource tables plus a bookstall to browse (EFTPOS only).

Food

Morning tea will be provided, including gluten free options, and tea/coffee will also be available at lunchtime.

Lunch options:

A coffee van will be available onsite for morning tea.

There will be a BBQ run by Anglican Camping Tasmania as a fundraiser. Please use EFTPOS for this.

There will also be another onsite food option for purchase. You can also BYO lunch. This is a nut free event, so please do not bring any nuts or food with nuts.

Other things

Please continue to pray for the event and all the preparations, and particularly for our interstate guest speaker Mark Earngey, as well as Bishop Richard and all the workshop presenters and others taking part.

Most of all, pray that we would be challenged and inspired by God, build up and encourage each other, and be excited and equipped to be A Church for Tasmania, making disciples of Jesus.
