After the success of 'Cello Cellissimo!' last year, Rachel and David have been planning again...

In this concert, join Australian cello ‘royalty’, David Pereira, his former student Rachel Scott and four more of his current students - some you may remember from last year (Eloise, Enola and Zachary), and a new face (and cello!) - welcome to Isabelle! For this special concert, there’ll be three generations of cellists sharing the 'stage'. There will be musical moments that will get your toes tapping, others that will make you smile, and times where you’ll be filled with musical peace – there’ll be something for everyone.

Get ready for a musical journey starting with the sounds of two cellos in Barrière’s sparkling sonata in G major, and then with each new work, an extra cello will be added, until there will be the sound of six! There’ll be music by J.S. Bach, Haydn, a tango by Eduardo Arolas arranged especially for the group, 'Tyalgum Gaiety' by David Pereira and a snappy Mambo - you'll love it, we know you will! (You may even see a cat listening.... you never know!)

Ticket sales will close at 4.30pm on the day of the concert. The stream will also stay accessible for a week after the concert, so if you have plans on this particular night, you can always watch it a few days afterwards...

The live stream will be broadcast on the YouTube platform. You will need a link to access the stream - this link will be emailed to all ticket purchasers 2 hours before the event. If you have not received the link by 5.30pm (Sydney time) on the day of the concert, please email bachinthedark@gmail.com so it can be sent to you directly.
