Black Ink Talent show '25

Black Ink, based in Meanjin, is a BIPOC-centered open mic performance space dedicated to uplifting and celebrating Black artists. Each Black Ink event features a unique theme and dress code, encouraging everyone to engage beyond familiar circles. We’ve shared memorable moments through incredible performances, meals, day parties, and—most importantly— a new home for open mic nights.

Frecktile is an internationally recognised dancer and battler known for pushing the boundaries of

Tutting and Finger Tutting. A 12-time battle winner, both locally and internationally, he's represented in Red Bull Dance Your Style four consecutive years running. Beyond tutting, he explores the styles of Krump and Animation, adding depth to his his overall style. He proudly reps Hot Chocolate Crew, Bang Fam, and Axis.x1.

The Black Ink Talent Show invites you to take to the stage and showcase your unique gifts —be it poetry, singing, dancing, or beyond! Bring your best, because performers will have the chance to win a $100 CASH PRIZE!!
