About BLĀKÜ
BLĀKÜ, the debut poetry collection of Dion Jahmal, follows a young man and his family's breathtaking generational journey. Through these empowering and deeply moving words, the author reveals his path to discovering where he truly belongs.
About Dion
DION JAHMAL is a poet and author of the memoir BLĀKÜ, which he defines as snippets of knowledge passed down from generations caught up in this beautiful struggle called life. His poems, sonnets, and Blāküs have been published in various anthologies and online publications, including Poetry Soup and Parkland Poets. His unapologetic approach to poetry is the result of over fifty winters spent as a multi-cultured human in this experiment called America.
Praise for BLĀKÜ
"BLĀKÜ, invites you to ride shotgun on a forbidden voyage of survival, surrender, and salvation. Asking that you keep your eyes and hearts open, the muddier the waters get!" -Jessica D Gallion, author of Can’t No Woman Woman Like Me
