Blanc de Noirs
Event description
A look at six Blanc de Noirs styles of sparkling wine from across the world with three key Champagne examples and three examples from regions outside of Champagne. ‘Blanc de noirs’ means ‘white on red’ which means that the sparkling wine only comes from red grape varieties which is commonly Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
This masterclass will show the stylistic changes in Champagne from producers using 100% Pinot Meunier like Gosset and growers Benoit Dehu and Cedric Mousse as well as producers who focus on Pinot Noir with two examples of Australian Sparkling Pinot Noir sourced from the exceptional regions of Pemberton and Mornington Peninsula.
Two wines we are particularly excited to show in this masterclass are the Benoit Dehu Cuvee la Rue Des Noyers and Cedric Mousse Les Vignes De Mon Village.Â
Ticket sales will cease at 4:30pm the Friday before the event.
