Blanc de Blancs
Event description
A look at six Blanc de Blancs styles of sparkling wine from across the world with three key Champagne examples and three examples from regions outside of Champagne. ‘Blanc de blancs’ means ‘white on white’ which means that the sparkling wine only comes from white grape varieties which is commonly Chardonnay.
In this masterclass the aim is to highlight some of the shining examples of Australian Blanc de Blancs and compare them with three stunning Champagne examples. The Australian bracket will feature Deviation Road Beltana and Honey Moon Vineyard Blanc de Blancs as well as a surprise Tasmanian example of similar class. From Champagne we will be looking at a classic in Gosset as well as two smaller producers who source their fruit from remarkable vineyards including the famed Les Chetillons.
Ticket sales will cease at 4:30pm the Friday before the event.
