Blazing Swan early entry week is for theme camps and volunteers contributing to our community by building the spaces that make up our beautiful temporary community that is Jilikin Rock City.

Our event is build upon the communal effort and the gifting of the theme camps and volunteers. Without them, Blazing Swan: Neon Caravan will not happen in its current form. Early Entrance week starts at 9am on Saturday the 12th of April and ends at 9pm on Tuesday the 15th of April. There is no early entry on Wednesday the 16th of April, the first day of the event.

PLEASE ONLY COME EARLY IF YOU ARE COMING TO SET UP!

Thanks for registering for an early ticket, it enables Blazing Swan to have a better idea of volunteer movement and sets us up to look out for each other.

What should I bring?

A. Self-reliance still applies. You have to bring all you need to survive, and then some. Some people bring only the basics; others bring everything including the kitchen sink.

Water, food and shelter are imperative

After you have taken care of your survival, everything else is up to you.

If you are fond of sleep, earplugs are a participant’s best friend.

A bicycle (with a bike light) is vital for enjoying our vast landscape, and a puncture repair kit may be required as we have at the moment some large double gees (big bloody prickles that can harm your tyres)

For maximum enjoyment of the event, bring toys or costumes with which you can express your creative spirit.

Driving on site:

Please note you will need to secure a theme camp vehicle pass in order to park your vehicle in the theme camp areas. Please contact your theme camp coordinator (via your theme camp lead) to ensure you have your pass.

Amplified music during early entry week:

Please note that there will be no loud amplified music and parties during the set up week. Our event permits only begin at midnight Tuesday Night 26th/Wednesday Morning, and having any event activity before this will endanger our government permits.
